no a fence ladies just wanna knowi have wondered this myself. i find the spectrum is wide. What one finds average is clearly open to debate.
Not only do I find the spectrum wide I find some average people kinda wide too..Probably got those mirrors that make ya ya look thin I know those mirrors work for me. 
I'll aggree with Brunette here. Average to me means..not really athletic, probably a little chubby or not willing to take that step to 'full figured and voluptous' because for some reason they think it gives a negative connotation.
I'd also consider not really toned - not necesarily biger. Nothing special blah would also say they were average. Average to me would be like saying 'theres nothing outstanding about me' i would much rather see 'athletic' or 'full figured' or anything else - Might just be me, but average is just..blah. I would never wanna be average!

Its your own self- perception -- if you consider yourself "average" -- you could ask 100 women and get 100 different answers, for sure...
honestly they say the population on average is becoming more and more overweight and obese... so what is average??? LOL 
It definately depends on how you percieve yourself... I wear plus sized clothing and consider myself to have "a few extra pounds". In my opinion it also depends how you carry your weight too... my friend doesn't weigh much more than I do but I am more muscular than she is and my weight is more evenly spread out whereas hers is centred in the middle... too many variables!! Self perception.

I think average is just that. Not model super skinny but not chubby either. I am what I would consider average. I am 5'7 140lbs. I wear a 30" waist. That is average... Isn't it? I'm not ripped by any sense of the word and and not fat so yah... Average it is
To me average means someone who is not athletic but also not overweight. Just in the normal weight chart I guess. Depends on the person. Everyone has a different view about it.

I actually address this directly in my profile, because I think it's a tough one and very much depends on the perception of the viewer.
I really did poll the guys I work with...and told them why I was asking and that I wanted to be completely straight up. But when I then asked them to tell me how they would describe themselves, the range was just as wide...
Those guys that are slim or average (but not built) all said they were average BUT, so did the guys who had a 12 pack brewing...
I think the true judge is when you actually meet. I've always asked if my profile, pics, etc were accurate now that we had met and all said the same thing...yes and your pics don't do you justice...so there ya go!!
Well, except for the one wierdo who just stared at me until I couldn't take it anymore!!
