What is the thrill people get???? ( Archived) (11)

Can anyone here please enlighten me on what THRILL some people get out of being mean, hateful, and downright rude to others? I was raised if you ain't got nothing nice to say, don't say nothing at all, but it seems that some go out of their way to hurt others feelings. Will any of you share your thoughts on this, please?

in my post i try to be considerate(sp) to others feelings and ideas

cajunfroggy, you sound like me. I would never intentionally hurt anyones feelings for anything in the world. But I see so many that do. And I really feel sorry for the one's on the recieving end of it. It's just a shame and so sad.

P.S. Cajun, I get plum tickled at you, when you get "wound up", it is hilarious. lmao.

the tearing down of others is one way that those who feel inferior or have a poor self image is their way of building themselves up to a higher level (if they lower everyone else to them they therfore feel elevated)

adj4u I agreed with you. Some people have problems, have been hurt by other or feel some how inferior and the only way the think they will feel better is to hurt other. What can I do? What I say to my kids, ignore them, is the best policy, becuase if we pay to much attention, yes we can get hurt, they "win" whatever that means for them and we lose.

Like people that insult and haress you on the internet...

Like people on the highways that think they are the only persons driving on the road and if they run you down, so what!

A person that slams the door in front of you, like they
are the only person going through ...

People who step in the front of the line rather than wait their turn and step all over you and everybody else to get their way!

People that are shopping and grab the last item from your hand,and make it theirs!

People that do not put the old,disabled, women and children first...
Do not believe in the "Golden Rule"

People that put you down and cannot say good things ...

The overbearing, rude people that think the world owes them a
living and that you should have no place in it, or make way for them!

I thank my blessings that I am not that way....

For of the many seeds that are sown in the ground, more nice ones come up as flowers but a few are inert chaff or weeds ...

It is hard but try to smile at the flowers of life and ignore the obnoxious chaff and weeds!

Prehaps it is because some children are not being taught, respect and consideration of others in the home ... and thus fail to be decent human beings as adults!

Glorified Presidents are teaching children its okay to cheat and lie to get ahead!

Society has seemed to change into a me first society...

Where the oil companys are exploting the people of the world with abnormal profits...for the money and their own personal power and gain!

We live in more of a jungle today, where the strong & the rude, inherit the earth and terrorists blow up innocent people and the terrorists groups live in impunity!

Gee, sorry I soap boxed and vented ....

You'all are a GREAT group of people, please don't think I was speaking of you. I couldn't sleep and was reading some of past threads and was thinking...OMG, that poor person, my heart went out to them. And even out in the world. I taught my kids RESPECT, and COMPASSION for every living and breathing thing. The world is going to hell and it's like, hey...somebody needs to wake up and smell the roses, (well, ya know what I mean. lol).
