What is your favorite breed of dog? Personally I love the Cocker Spaniel, both American and English, or the beautiful Chevalier King Charles. If you happen to fancy cats, what is your favorite cat breed? If I had to pick a cat breed I would probably favor either the Siamese, or the Manx.

Australian Blue Cattledog...have had them for 27 years now...loyal, smart, and so so deep.

Protective, and my shadow, 'Shae', speaks volumes in her silences...

Dog lover here. I like Golden Retrievers, Labs, German Shepards...ya know...dogs actually big enough to take camping and not worry it'd get beat up by a chipmunk.
As for cats, I don't mind em, but they're prissy and just aren't as exciting.

I love animals of all breeds, I can't pick just one because I work with so many. So many animals have different personalities that I can't really find a common trait within a certain breed head banger

Yep...she can round up 100 head of grumpy Brahmans, and push them all back through the fence they have busted out of.

She can round the kids up when they are scattered, playing in the bush, she can cut one cow, or horse out of the mob, and keep it there till I get to it...

She rocks...

She swims with me...so anxious, so concerned...and usually I have to rescue her...is hilarioous..

She has ne fear, or regard for her safety, when she thinks her pack are at risk.

yup.. that's how ours were... could cut a heffer...or whatever... my stepdad had certain whistles he used...

They weren't allowed in the house though. Not sure if it was the way they were trained by him, or what..but, was told they were not good house pets...

they are damned tough, and one of the most intelligent of the herding breed!

I moved off the farm a few years ago....

and a Brahman is originally an Afrikan breed of cattle...resilient, and accustomed to heat, and dry conditions...

Lllamas, I love them...such wise little creatures...and they are honest with their moods...when they are cranky, you know it, they even stamp their feet!!! SO, cute...

Dogs every time, though I love all animals. Had two Westies of my own, two other Westies when I was younger and the family had two rough collies when I was a child, one when we lived in the Prince George and one in Vancouver. The latter one, Sheba, was a stray that came to our door and, as hard as we tried, couldn't track down an owner, so we kept her. She was fab and just like Lassie, so intelligent. She would walk me to school (I was 6 years old) and would you believe she would just know the time school finished and would be there waiting at the gate to walk me home!!!! Wow, awesome dog!!thumbs up kiss
