As always, I'm curious as to what kind of vehicles and machinery are common in different parts of the world.
I realize it's a dating site, but a lot of people have a love affair with their vehicles as well.
I have a few friends that have met their significant others through clubs, events and the like solely because of the car or bike or truck that they drive.
I see it as another way to get people chatting about a common interest that so many enjoy.
I don't know if you can actually tell a whole lot about someone from what kind of vehicle they own, but that may be something to discuss. Do people look like their car or vise-versa, similar idea to their pets?
Does a love for a car get in the way of your love life?
Does a car make for a suitable mistress?

I like off all kinds of vehicles from many different manufacturers. Mostly fast cars, old Fords and off road machines. I have IIA Land Rovers, Model "A" and "T" Fords and various other junk. I've had too many to count and have travelled all over North America for parts and cars, met all kinds of wonderful people.
Serious addiction: Yup, worse than heroin. Fatal: Unlikely
Woman that will understand: Hopefully!

Cool, I'll have to look that up. I tried skateboarding when I was a kid, bought an old Santa Barbara made in the 70's and lost a lot of blood in the first few days. I went back to a BMX shortly after. Figured it was safer launching myself off of quarterpipes and garage roofs on two wheels with handlebars!roll eyes

Keep posting!cheers

A Cadillac, A Ferrari, A Lamborgini, A Mercedes, An Alpha. I dont own any of these, but get to drive them all crying in the showroom with potential rich customers.

Honestly I would rather drive an old holden.

Funny thing, I drive a 1987 Chevette /(acadian) during the winter
also drive my 1995 V8 - 5.0 Mustang GT over the summer season. In any case which ever car people see me in, they always take a glance - You can say I enjoy being looked at. rolling on the floor laughing

I can't remember the last time I saw a Chevette or Acadian on the road.
I have a 5.0l HO in my '92 T Bird. Not bad for performance. Wouldn't mind a few go fast goodies for it though.

Not a car person.

I just want reliability. Something that will get me from A to B.
Car of choice would be an Austin Mini. They seem very reliable

Car of Dream. A Mint Condition Trans Am Firebird with Bonnet Motif. Why purely becuase it has nice lines, Looks both manly and sleek. and looks like it would handle a bit of rough treatment without sulking.

Yes i look purely at the cosmetics of a vehicle. So when I go car shopping I ensure i have someone who knows cars with me.dancing

I love power and speed as well, although I'm learning to slow down a bit. I have a GSXR 750 that I'm piecing back together from a crash I had 4 years ago. Love the bike, hate our roads.

cheers

I've come a gutsa a few times, my biggest 1 was 1 was fanging it at about 210km or so when a bloody roo jumped out infront of me i broke my neck and my arm, i was lucky that i didn't end up in a wheel chair, or dead. But i got back on the horse and yes our roads are horrible the best stretch of road i found was the best is along the great aussie bite

I've never been to Aus. At least not yet. Our roads see freeze and thaw way too often, leaving them full of potholes and cracks. The other thing is all the sand and gravel put down for traction on the ice doesn't get cleaned up until May or June.
My GSXR crash was simply my own stupidity. Going too fast for road conditions. Sand still on the road. I slid into a steel gaurd rail on an off camber curve. The bike tagged the curb and pinned me against the rail backwards. A few fractured ribs, broken bones in my foot and a lot of bruises. Just couldn't wait to ride it and had it wrecked in less than a month.

Goodness a bit of bad luck good to see that you came out on top. Our roads are similar not to many pot holes, only after a damm lot of rain. And as for not letting it beat you, i think it's the only way to get over that initial fear, to get right back into the saddle. Ride safe. xocheers

It's not the first bike I've had and it won't be the last. I hope I don't sound like a complete idiot but I've crashed a couple before. I've ridden a few since and I will ride again. I just find it tough to justify owning a bike or a hotrod here due to our short enjoyment season in Canada.

I seem to go through cars like i do underwear. Can't say that i like any car more than other with the exeption of 4 wheel drives.

All in all, i would much rather drive something that i made myself when i have the skills.

Ford Fairlane 81 current
Toyota Land cruiser FJ55 79 cracked head (had it for one week)
Toyota 4 runner 85 i think too rusty
Toyota Hilux 91 sold to go on 4x4 journey
Suzuki Sierra mid 80s gear box problems had the hilux
Mitsubishi express van 82ish gear box had the sierra
Mitsubishi L300 82ish blown head, too much oil

adverage 1 a year

I have had only older cars and spend way too much money on things that are not worth fixing
