okay, here goes. most people know that my youngest two are special-needs children. raegan, my almost-four-year-old is very sweet and unassuming. a true joy and pleasure to be around. and she's...charmed, i guess you could say.

almost every saturday, i try to take the kids to the skating rink. excellent exercise and a way for us to bond together...and we all have a blast. in the back corner, there is a giant maze for the kids, and a basketball goal with several balls. raegan loves to play with the balls and try to dribble them.

okay, this is where it gets strange:

some of the bigger boys came over to play ball around raegan...they are in their early teens, i would guess. they dodge around her and are very careful to never actually run into or hit her. sometimes they'll even play with her.

i was smiling at her, when out of nowhere came a very fast-thrown ball on a collision course with the side of her head. i knew immediately that it was thrown hard enough to knock that poor child cold...if not worse. there was no time to move her, or get in the way, or any of that. time slows...

the ball came to about two inches away from her, and instead of knocking her flat...DEFLECTED somehow. it just...bounced off of air. the boys were cringing, and then one goes..."whoa!"...

and raegan just walked off. she never even noticed.

My daughter, now 18, was two at the time, and was messing around at the phone playing secretary, and dialling numbers.

I would pass by and just hit the hang up button and then let her go again...

I noticed she was having a lively conversation, with breaks, as if she was listening to someone...I asked her who she was talking to and she said Unca Craig...my brother...

So I went along with it and asked if I could talk to him too, thinking it was an imaginary phone call....I nearly fell over to find it was my brother, who is never home on a weekday in the middle of the day...I asked did he ring us, he said no, you did...

This is in the days before we had redial, and preset speed dial, or even logged in memory on a phone here...no phone number lying around for her to copy, I checked, I did the big sceptic route first...

My brother was at home because he had crawled into a black hole within himself, with depression, and he confessed later had been sitting there thinking of taking his life when Jo rang him.....

The morning my father died, I was just leaving the house for work, I turned around and put things in my handbag like I wasn't coming home for the night.
When I left the train I turned my mobile phone on, usually I wouldn't even carry it to work.
When I arrived at work I was told to ring my family, and my mother told me that exactly at the time I turned my mobile on, my father had closed his eyes for ever.

I was told by a fortune teller that my father is my guardian angel.

And I truly believe he is.

I believe that something is 'around' us, 'surrounds' us, works through us....

The idea of fluffy winged angels doesn't work for all unexplained happenings, for me.....Dave,I definately believe they were working in your circumstances...

Other stuff...my daughter and her Uncle....they are connected through energy I feel, and she just channeled her own higher power/consciousness, as she 'heard' him...and being an uncorrupted by criticism and negativity, two year old, was a more 'pure' conduit to intuite him....my thoughts...

My kids are natural intuites...they know who is on the phone when it rings, they answer your question, before you have the first three words out...they know when visitors are coming and prepare for them, before I do...all sorts of everyday stuff..

I guess they just have a better connection to the universal 'mind'/ consciousness, than others..and it has not been diminshed with negativity..

my mother always did the same...she would know who was coming or on the phone, would know when she HAD to be somewhere...would know when my hand was in the candy...

she could even tell you what they were going to be wearing, and she practiced daily. she believed that there was another level of communication, that if practiced...could access much information that many missed. unused portions of the brain and such.

Ever since my fiance' passed away...he comes to me in by playing with the flame of a candle. I can actually talk to him and the flame will respond...I know he is with me and always will be. I've also had him blow the candle out and change my tv station. He always liked the history channel and I never watch it. He turned it there when I got up and left the room for a minute....I was the only one in the house.

at the old place...

One of the spirits we had there was a boy.

One Night Sarah wsn't feeling well, so slept on the couch...
She woke up later in the night, and she saw a little boy walking across the living room. She said he was green, with a sriped t-shirt... there was no bottom half.

I later learned through reseach, some forms come as only partially manifested...

At the old farm house we lived at, my youngest were 5 and 7 at the time, had conversations with a little boy and a girl.

They shared that the boy died in a drowning accident, and showed me where at the creek he drowned, and the little girl would have been his aunt, if she had survived rheumatic fever.

They even described their clothes they were wearing, and argued about the details, until they agreed...

Doing some research into the homestead, I found it was the first Landgrant holder's dwelling, and he had indeed lost a daughter, and it was the place the kids showed me she was buried, (no marker), and also that the son of the original owner of the property had indeed lost a son to drowning.

This all happened 90 years and then 70 or so years respectively, earlier, than when we lived there.

Nothing malicious, or malevelant about any of the telling of the story by my kids, just innocent speaking of facts on their part.

They said ghosts are real Mum. Pretty cool I thought, to be just said so matter of factly by a 5 year old and a 9 year old.

I had never even spoken with them about spirit presences, they brought the subject up by showing me.

I have a few stories of the unexplained kind.
But here is the shortest one I can think of.

Not long after my husband Harry died.; I was driving down the highway at about 70 to 75 miles per hour in the car he had bought for me about 6 months earlier, when out of nowhere, the steering wheel was pulled tightly out of my hands veering to the right, hard.
It took me to an off ramp that I had no intention of taking. Had no reason to take it. Thus causing me to slow down a good 25 to 30 mph before my right front tire was blown completly off the rim. My tire went across the interstate and crossed the highway. My mag went the other way. Now, what caused my car to take its'self off the highway at the exact time the tire was going to exit my car? What took that steering wheel out of my hands and safely got me off the highway?

Kat

thumbs up

Amazing.

I had a cat named Pixel who ALWAYS waited by the door facing
it expectently for people to come whether they were people I
invited or someone who just dropped in. She would sit there
maybe ten to twenty minutes waiting. Never failed.

I've had other cats that seemed to be 'watching' something in-
visible to me nearby. I always accepted that they were 'seeing'
something I couldn't but I still felt a little strange about it.
Nothing I could prove. It didn't seem to matter. I just believed
it.

I believe that there are 'signs' all around us that we aren't
aware of, most the time, that mean to tell us that there is an
energy, a consiousness. Sometimes we're blessed, lucky, given
an awareness, - something, and we're able to 'tune' into it.
I've had this 'syncronicity' (as Leo expained), many times. I
had called it coincidence but it isn't. A thought of a very odd
word would be in my mind and I would hear the very same word on
tv. That's happened many times. One time there was a four series
number said on a program and when I checked the time it was that
exact time. I think it happens most when something has happened
of high importance to me and I'm full of energy. My mother's,
death for example.
