I eat 6 small meals a day.....2 oz of lean protein each meal and not many carbs. I've lost 17 pounds and am close to being off my diabetic meds. Best of luck!

BTW....i'm allowed rice and potatoes....they are complex carbs. I don't eat the processed kind that turn to sugar quickly. That is the secret to the carb thing.

If you eat less more often, it keeps your metabolism high....and exercise of course. I'll be glad when the lake is warm enough to swim....great exercise and I love it.

You're welcome....you can do it!

yep....i was surprised on this program that i could have the rice and potatoes. Can't have all the goodies though, like sour cream and butter. I use salsa and as nasty as that may sound....it's great.

I also put veggies in my rice which helps...but salsa is good on plain rice too. wink

One should pick an easy distance to walk, and then add 1-2 minutes daily until walking briskly for 45 minutes...

Repeat 4-5 times per week!

Easiest on a treadmill, where one can monitor one's heartbeat, and see real progress in a lower heartrate over time while doing more and more work...

Treadmill can also gradualy introduce between 1-15 degrees of incline...

Two years ago, after building up to jogging 5 miles a day, I was losing .5 lbs per day consistently...

Problemn is I got some arthritis in my knees and they are often very painful and it seems the more I walk the more sore my knees get,I have on several occasions been on crutches due to arthritis. All my family seem to have inherited this prob.I think swimming is probably a good solution but want to lose a bit of weight before I take the plunge.wave

Water lots and lots of it..........

When you think your feeling hungry your body can be telling you it's thirsty instead........so drink a pint of water and wait 5 mins and see do you still feel hungry after that....wink
