What is up with gas jumping 24 cents a gallon overnight? I have a little 10 gallon tank car and it's gonna cost me $30 plus to fill up......arghhhhhhhh

I've decided I'm doing the gas out on the 15th of May...we need to send a message. I feel so sorry for those that don't make much money, have child care to deal with and have to commute any distance to work.

It's hard enough for me...single mom, student and not having a full time job (yes, my choice). I can't imagine how it has to be for those that are living from paycheck to paycheck with no help from any other source.

how much does it cost a gallon?

here in the UK we pay about US$7 a gallon but most people drive cars that get at least 40 miles to the gallon often alot more

I wonder if we could charge gas station a fee for shopping with them.

Not as much as there....jumped to 3.19, but here that is alot. Even my little car only gets about 20 miles a gallon. Apparently we haven't gotten to point you are with the better mileage cars.

Unfortunately, it isn't so much the gas stations as it is the oil companies. Believe it or not, gas stations usually...and I reiterate usually, only make a few cents on the gallon. Years ago, I managed conveniece stores for many years.

That's why I think buying no gas on a given day might wake up the oil companies. It wouldn't upset me so much, but these oil companies are making billions in profit.

I put large tires on the back of my truck and small ones on the front, that way I will coast farther going down hill.

All these examples do NOT imply that gasoline is cheap;
It just illustrates how outrageous some prices are....
