Ok to start this off, I'm gonna say that it's a BAD idea. Simpley because I want to see them in super-big-screen mode, with my huge pop and gigantic popcorn. I love the idea of there being some movies beyond the original, but why not let the fans decide where they want to see them. Thoughts anyone??
Bad idea - movies are so much better in the theatre, plus they tend to put more effort into theatre movies then in straight-to-video... I really enjoy Stargate, so I'll be kind of ticked off if they make 2 crappy straight-to-video movies when they could make one really good one and release it in the theatres.....
At least O'neill (Richard Dean Anderson) will be in them. Also, on a side note: A BIG shout out to all the stargate fans out there. Weather it's SG:1 or Atlantis or both, you have made a very good choice.
Well, if Richard Dean Anderson's going to be in them, that's a good sign - I assume if they looked like they would be really bad he probably wouldn't want to be in them.... (and even if they do suck, at least he'll be cool)
That's all I can say about that, without getting into a long-drawn-out historical account of "the gate" and it's function. However I will say this: "Stargate:SG1, is the best science-fiction show since Star Trek, as far as shows based around real technology, and Earth's actual history." (The closer to reality the show gets, the more you want to believe that it's real.)
