has anyone ever fallen in love only to find out you were just a rebound and they ended up leaving you anyway

Yeah, a couple of times, though they didn't end up leaving me it was I who ended up leaving them. The second one I left though realised after a month of me leaving that he'd made blunder of his life and that I was the far better one after all and has spent the last 12 years trying to get me back, hasn't worked so far though ...

Well, I got married (the 2nd time) when I was on the rebound from my first and he ended up leaving me, because he fell out of love or something. (It broke my heart at the time, for a long time too.)

Yes, and it really bites.
But then again...unfortunately, I've been guilty of the same thing. It made me feel so bad, that now, I make sure that it won't happen again.
