A lone carrion crow circles paradise,
A chilling reminder of mortality.
I cast my gaze upon the artificial glitter
And wonder. My termination and vermination,
On a flight of fancy Ride? Was the vision
Only the manifestation of my desire?
I have attended the immolation of pride
And found it lacking.
Back to the unkind truth.
Reality is only a heartbeat away.
Slink away from Never Never Land.
Flee the land of Oz.
The wizard’s soul was forged in Hell
And the trickle-down rubs off.
The oozing yellow patch
In the festering human soul,
An itch that will not scratch,
Smoke and ash, life’s only sacred goal.
Misery is a quintessential commodity
And the road of the righteous
Is littered with souls who fell
Fleeing the Magic Kingdom.
