Religious culture and those practising it frowns on the act of gambling. Christians feel the pain of those damaged by the aftereffects of gambling.

So in what category does playing bingo fall?

there are books of the Bible missing,

the bible has been translated over and over again, so who

really knows what the Bible originally said?

It seems like they bring religion into it when there is no other

argument.

Everything in moderation.................angel

Yes I have an issue with that. Bingo IS legalized gambling. I never played until a few months ago, with a friend.

People (mostly women) were throwing $20's at the ticket sellers, the floor was littered with thousands of loser $1.00 tickets.

The priest was at the back of the room counting receipts. I was disheartened, and did start a thread about this.

I never really gambled at a casino until last month in Oklahoma at the Indian casinos. Again, disheartened at how many people were throwing money away and so quickly!

I'm glad there is no gambling in Ohio at this time, and I see how addicted some people can be to gambling.

I'm all for legalized pot, and for gambling (even though I'm glad there is none in Ohio). It's the personal responsibility for people to use self-control.

P4S Maybe you should go and make a study of the facts before you make such a sweeping statement. The subject have been exhaustively studied by many people - both believers and non-believers.

The simple fact is that many parts of the bible can be reconstructed from text that dates to hundreds of years before Christ. A good example is the qumran library where some texts were discovered that predated Christ. There are no fundamental changes in any these texts compared to those we now read. The entire New testament and the now lost proto gospel can be reconstructed from quotes that date from the first century after Christ. Yes there are "errors" and additions in the bible we now read compared to the early texts but a study of these conclusively show that there are only one fundamental change to the message of the bible.

Suggest you go and do your home work. See if you can come up with what this change is.
