maidenmagscoventry, West Midlands, England UK1 Threads 6 Postsi have recently split from ex and now face skintness and loneliness!! boo hoo you may think, but my simple problem is..... im very shy and have to... take my kids for a whole week to butlins. As a single parent. i think im going in sunglasses with book at hand at every given oportunity and hide if someone looks at me: so i think a few drinks will also be in dire need
what should i do??? my freinds are suddenly busy tho my kids are well behaved, tongue in cheek!

I think you will find other single parrents there. Nothing to be ashamed about go have fun chat to people.

You shouldn't worry about this at all. My sons 21 now but there have been times when I've taken him on holiday by myself and had a great time. There will probably be loads of other single parents there too either by themselves or in groups. Some couples don't always go on holiday together all the time either. So, one parent goes away with their kids on holiday sometimes.
Obviously, you'll be busy during the day with all the activities. In the evening, in the pub/bar or whatever it is just join in with the others, I wouldn't really advise sitting in a corner with a book and a pair of dark glasses on though.
