this one is good at least I think it is (cause I thought it up all by myself lol)...when my 16 year old son swears I now tell him go and flush....lol....your mouth is nastyer than a toilet.... I thought that was pretty funny...you should of seen the look on his face when I said that....it took him off guard....had to think about what I was saying...shut him up for like a second..lol...so now everytime he swears I tell him "go flush dude"...its better than swearing back....

If we cussed when I was a kid, we got our face jack-slapped.

I didn't hear the "F" word until I was in 5th grade...lol

I'm not kidding either! I heard swearing growing up but not that one from my parents. actually I was totally shocked when I first heard my parents use that word. I think I was in my 20's...lol The kids taught them that one...lol

I barely swore in front of my parents.

I grew up in a house where noone swore...at all...ever. Wish that I never picked up the habit because it sure is hard to break.

I tell my son he's going to cuss - I'm sure he probably already does - so long as

A) he knows what the definition is of the word/s he's using, and

B) he thinks before he uses it.

Let's face it, in life there are appropriate places for cursing; choosing your vocabulary wisely can be pretty colorful.

BTW, my son now says "aw, crap" at times in front of me. He made sure he knew what crap was before saying it the first time, and knows just the right time to say it too ("you're gonna crap, dad; I got a B on my exam").

He's a rockstar:)

I knew better. I swear from time to time, but I have no problems refraining from it. I see so many kids do it, it's kinda sad. If I would've, I knew a slap across the face would've been in order.

when they are young it just sounds cool to them.when they are older it can hurt the person they say it to and not realize it as much.

Its sort of funny when they are young because they have no idea what they are saying.. just something they have over heard... when they are older they should have repsect.. not so funny at 13 to be swearing.

I was taught to swear as much as I wanted to at home...but never dare in public or I would get smacked across the face. Now I'm all grown up and I don't swear in public...but I'm a potty mouth at home and on the phone.
