I just read an article in the Sun that says that on Monday power has gone up from $0.05 per Kilowat to $0.53 per K! They said that consumers won't see that much of a hike on their power bills, but, there will be a big hike in rates soon! This is kinda crappy considering how much housing costs here!

You just gotta love the conservative government!
Deregulation = rampant theft by utility companies.
I wonder what kind of kick backs were paid to let this happen. Do you honestly believe Ralph Klown got elected because he was intelligent?
ALL utilities should be government run and non profit. This is Canada!! These are neccessities of life here. They should NOT be run by thieving multinational corporations!

Bring him up on criminal charges. I don't remember being asked if I wanted any of the utilities to be deregulated.
The same with health care. Keep the multinational corporations out of Canadian health care altogether. If you let them in, we'll be in the same boat as the US.
The problem is most Canadians are too complacent and possibly apathetic in regards to politics in our own country.
How many even vote?
