Once, when asked to fill in for a public speaker, I explained to the crowd that this was not really my thing. The usual speaker, was a skilled orator, polished, and brilliantly clear like a pane of glass. I on the other hand, was a novice, more like a piece of cardboard used to substitute the missing pane of glass. At the end of the affair, a sweet little lady came over to me and said.
