somebody get me a beer. This is going to take a while....
Job 3 1969-1972
Sheet Metal Worker Even though I had lost interest in work, my father ignored my preference for a leisurely existence and basically forced me to work in his sheet metal shop during Saturdays and summer vacations.
I made about a million fire dampers, fish collars, sleeve boxes and other assorted artifacts during this period. Funny thing is, looking back now, I didn't really mind working... I just hated the boredom of doing mundane repetitive jobs.
Without much else to occupy my mind I began to contemplate the lives of those souls who spend entire careers doing this sort of mind numbing work in order to bring home a paycheque. These considerations were to influence the decisions I made in pursuit of my career path henceforth.
So what you are saying is you hate sheet metal work but you did it anyway. Then it comes to you out of the blue that you dont mind the working just getting bored. This forced your hand to look around you and see what others were doing and to see if they were happy in doing it?So how did I do?Hello and Im Honey your welcome to cs.
What you said is true ,while some will retire that having something to do will weigh heavy on them.I know alot people here in Kentucky who work up until their 80s or 90s.It when a person loses himself and cant find himself is the scariest. Some will lie back in leisure if it makes them happy let them do it.But what you are saying is you cant be put into thart mode of a person. And hey nothing wrong with that. And while there is a price for most things it is worth it just to be happy within yourself about what you do and who you are.Never feel you got cheated if it was your decison after much thought ,then full speed ahead my friend and God bless.
