yes hun a vet will put a healthy animal to sleep if the owner requests it, but the owner will have to have a very good reason such as the animals behaviour, or unable to rehome,
No, not this time Coleen. My Dad has told my sister that a vet is coming out in the morning to put my mums dog to sleep. I can't see a vet agreeing to destroy a healthy animal, and think my dads saying it to be spiteful

sorry hun I do hope I am wrong in this case. As far as i know though they dont do house calls to do that your dad would have to take the dog to the surgery,
From what my sister has said he has used being blind as a reason for not coping, even though mum is making other arrangements for the dogs until she has her own place. I'll never forgive him if he does, it would only be done to hurt my mum.
Mum already has homes for them until she gets her own place. Dad agreed for the dogs to be with him until tuesday, when my mum gets back from her sisters. But he's having them put down before she gets back. He also told my sister she wasn't allowed to tell my mum what he was doing. so she told me and i've told mum. Mums going to ring the vets in the morning, to see if he has arranged for them to be destroyed.
