Naw...it's not the best thing to do. 
You have to be very careful when you play online. Anyone can be anything or anyone they want to be...behind a computer screen. 
I have made some wonderful friends though, I will say. One that I have met, is the very best friend I have ever had. We talk daily and have for 3, almost 4 yrs. now. We see each other every 2-3 mos. and spend Holidays together. That alone, has made it worthwhile. Until you have met someone in person and spent alot of time with them, I would take it all with a grain of salt, to say the least.

This is only another tool for meeting people. You still can go outside and meet people. Just be as cautious, either way. Human nature hasn't changed.

Had this discussion with someone, today. I would not consider meeting someone from a distance without first having a wb cam "conference" with them. As you said anyone can be anything behind a computer screen. But, I have only been in these dating rooms three months and have already had one date, with a second one coming Saturday.
So I have to say it works. BTW..both dates were met through a different site. Haven't met anyone here, YET

has worked for me too hun! I met a beautiful lady here on CS and because it was through the internet we were given the chance to explore each others mind rather than bodies and the result was trully getting to know the other before going any further!! this wouldn't happen on the outside!

It is nice to meet others on a deeper level...
So much is based on the superfical relm now a days.
Looks, where you live, and what you drive.
I feel it is better to get to know someone as
a person first without all the other distractions.
Also meeting online can be an adventure. Usually
leads to traveling to meet. Depending on who you
meet. You never know where you may end up next.
I have found it to be an exciting and enjoyable
experience.

use to be you could meet someone when you went outdoors. Now you are indoors on the computer trying to get a date to go outdoors.
What is your take on it? I don' t like it one bit.
