I got a question for any American Indians or anybody else that might know for sure...is it true that only pure blooded indians are allowed to have a single eagle feather hanging in their vehicle. And if a mixed blood or people who aren't tribal has one in their car it's considered a insult or is that just myth?

Ever find an answer to this question solo.. Maybe you should ask zdead. He once told me that some indians believe that allowing someone to photogtaph you takes some of your spirit away.

I get different answers..but most of the pure blooded say it's a insult...So I'm not gonna risk it...even on a tattoo of some type of indian feather you have to be careful what it looks like or your gonna be asking for trouble I mean different ways a feather is shaped or cutting chunks out of the sides of it represents different meanings (goes back to our ancestors). I lucked out with my feather tatt. made sure mine doesnt mean anything. And on taking a photo i don't think that bothered the american indians to much...maybe some tribes?

I really don't know? I have Cherokee and I hear possibly Potowatomie too. Not enough where I would know the traditions and such. I think this is all very interesting though.

Cool, I'm Cherokee and Chickasaw. But it can be interesting, I alway thought it was important to know were I came from and who my ancestors were. Some of my family go to the tribal dances and celebrations, I think it would really be cool to go but i havent made it to one yet.
