I just thought I'd bring this up and see what you all think. I guess I must be a bit old fashioned but I still believe that chivalry (opening doors for ladies, treating them with the utmost respect, and behavior of this sort) is important and I for one still practise these behaviors more because in addition to being polite behavior, treating a woman with respect - no matter what her age - makes me feel good. I'm divorced now but even when I was married I ALWAYS held the door open for my Ex.My question is this; ladies, and I am sorry if this is a stupid question but I'm just wondering, is chivilry important to you?

There is still at least one true Knight left in this world and he is me! I will do my darndest to keep chiviry alive and kicking.

Hello kuza.
My answer is YES YES YES AND YES.

Chivilry is very important to me, but it just seems to have vanished in these parts where I live.

Nice to know you believe in the "old" ways.

Rose.

Chivalry is awesome! I've been told I'm too old fashioned for my age, but I really enjoy being treated right and with respect.

I have no problems with chiviry at all. But I don't expect it at all times either and I mean if it dosn't happen I have no problems with that either. I do however believe that respect is very important in a relationship. If there is no respect there is nothing.

The answer to your questions is simple. YES it is, though I think that most of us out there don't see it enough so when we do it takes us off guard. I suppose we have excepted the lack of and just end up opening our own doors or cracking the jelly jar on our own. Our society has not enforced gallantry and that would be our fault as mothers and fathers and not instilling it within our kids.
