Being kind hearted and loving is not enough .. Overeating is a bad habit , shake it off and shape up .. please hug flower .. look good , feel good

Yep, I can see where you're coming from on this.. although it's not ONLY some of the UK women who are overweight...

As for the reasons they become overweight maybe it's because they comfort eat or are on a low income and unhealthy food is cheaper than healthy and organic food, also it's easy to fall into bad eating habits or it could be for other reasons they overeatdunno

By the way, think I maybe worded first paragraph of my post wrongly, I meant to say it's not ONLY some of the uk ones who are overweight. Some of them from other countries are too.

You could be right about the lack of social activities bit.

I must admit I'm so knackered after work that I only have energy to sit at my comp eating crisps and biscuits.

I do sometimes have a go on my nintendo wii though when I'm feeling energetic laugh

I have just joined a gym, purley because i want to do it for my own health and fitness. It is hard to stay in shape, a modern lifestyle can make it very difficult. Work, kids, other commitments.

But what is not fair is sterio-typing, and feeling pressured into looking a certain way, or getting the "right shape"

What is the "right shape" anyway? there is to much pressure on women to "look good" and comments like Damians can push some impresionable young girls into eating disorders. People should be happy just the way they are.

As long as you're healthy, it shouldn't matter what shape you are. hug hug

Short, fat, tall, skinny, or otherwise, you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, it's whats inside that matters.

Beauty is only skin deep, look a bit harder, you might learn something by this!!! professor scold

We are all different for sure . But instead of finding an excuse for keeping the blub get read of it . Find the cause and resolve the problem . Ask your GP , the Nurse or ... to see if you are overweight . Loving and caring starts from self .. Common get those pounds off and change from loving to lovely .. And if it helps we can start up a group and do something about it ... hug

Maybe you need to alter your profile Damian?
Why not add something like 'overweight people need not contact me' dunno
When what you actually do say is "respect and accept people for what they are." confused
It would be much kinder to do that, than having the wrong 'type' contacting you, then you calling roly-polies and asking then to 'shape up' roll eyes

If someone is happy with the way they are, why on earth would they want to change themselves for someone else. Give me kind hearted, loving roly-polies anyday, than someone who is untrue and unkind cheering

Simple answer to this for you damian............

Just don't reply!! If you are not interested in the fuller figure, just don't bother replying to them! I am sure you are an adonis, with a perfect figure, white teeth, bronzed body....................yeah! Right! lol!

You are being silly . When your you suspect of being overweight and when you are eventually told that you are , then you must do something about it . The issues that come with being overweight are just as serious as drinking and smoking . A lot of people are happy with that . If you don't care about yourself then it is hard to imagine that you can seriously care about others . Please do not waste your time and mine posting childish replies . Try and may be you can come up with something sensible . Take a 10 mile walk at the week-end and cut out the fat that you eat xx .

I beg your pardon? I do not need to go for a ten mile walk, nor do I need to cut out the fat that I eat. If I did that, I would no doubt end up with anorexia or bulimia. How dare you advise me on changing my lifestyle, pressuming I am overweight.

Now, if you do have genuine concerns for other peoples health (Not that its any of your business anyway) Why don't approach the subject in an adult manor, and not the childish name calling way you have done.

You say you respect and accept people for what they are. I don't think so.
Why don't you take a good long look at the way you portray yourself, rather than bullying others for the way that they are.

grin
