In Florida a man bought a brand new Corvette. He was so excited he went straight from the dealership to the interstate to see how fast he could get it. He got to 80,100, 120 and zoomed right past a Florida state trooper. The trooper wasted no time and sped after the guy with lights flashing and siren howling. The guy got further and further away from the trooper and suddenly realized that he was being stupid and needed to stop. He pulled over to wait for the trooper. The trooper comes to the guy's window and says:
"My shift ends in 30 minutes, it's Friday and I am tired. If you can give me a really good reason for your speeding, I will just let you go without a ticket"
The guy thinks for a moment and says:
"A few years back my wife left me for a Florida state trooper .... I thought you were trying to bring her back"
The trooper smiled and said "Have a nice day"

I have so much to be thankful for, but today I am having a difficult time recognising that fact.
