What is your alltime favorite book and why?

The first book that really left it's mark on me was Watership Down.
It made me rethink many things,for me it was more than just a stroy about rabbits.
Over the years I have had many favorites but this one will always stick out.grin

The Bible, no question about it, slam dunk, done deal, it also outsells every book every year by far.

Pick it up! As Stewie Griffin would say, "Thumping good read"

I love to read ... just don't seem to have much time for it lately;

Not sure if I have an all-time favorite book but there are a few authors I do enjoy;

When I was a young teenager it was Judy Blume (think I read them all) and in highschool I remember reading one book that stood out for me "The Chrysalids"

I also like Nicholas Sparks - but his stories always make me cry. I too enjoyed the Notebook (was disappointed in the movie as the book was so much better, but I guess that's the power of our own imagination).

I actually like alot of children's books ......... they are sometimes such wonderful stories: 3 in particular that stand out for me are The Velveteen Rabbit, The Little Crooked Christmas Tree and also The Sign of the Seahorse.

If like children's books one to read is "Bridge to Terabithia" It is a grade 5 or 6 book. It of course is better than the movie...but..it will make you cry. I never read the last 30 pages to my students in class and I encourage them to read it at home for the same reason.
