ok i know some people on here dont like me...and there are some on here i don't like either so it's balanced...thats not my vent.
My vent is somebody on here keeps tring to hack my comp. so show yourself and lets talk about this here or in private to see what your problem is...and ((just a warning not a treat)) if you are ((not)) the hacker please don't come on here saying you are.. I'm not a hacker myself but i do know two of them that are and one of them knows others even better then she is, she's kinda learning the trick of the trade. So please dont say you are the hacker when your not or you just might get hacked yourself if it keeps up.

Once again I'm not looking for a fight and I'm not tring to treaten anybody. Dont be a coward and hind behind a virus lets talk.

peace

Uhhhhhhhhhhhh...

I'm the hacker? lol

Sorry, you're dealing with this Solo.

How do you figure it's somebody here?

Does it tell you, or only when you're on this site?

Not trying to be a 'tard, I'm just tickled when I remember where the "On" button is, so I'm clueless.

sign pops up sayin unknown access to your computer has been blocked..to cut it short thats what it's saying.

No bodies has sent a virus.. yet...think they are more like testing the water so to speak. Just seeing it they can get into my system and see what kind of defense my comp. has...or they could just be bored

I'm not really acusing anybody on here, but I do think it's odd it only happens on here?

LOL, Whats sad is i have asked her if she has tried to hack me. Because it DOES sound like something she would do for the heck of it. She SAYS she wouldn't do it to me.
But I've seen her flood (harmless virus) people that piss her off on the chat rooms.

Wonder if it's just blocking a popup, or tracking cookies from site sponsers.

I "think" sensitive "dogs" could response like that and even prohibit your entering a site if your system doesn't allow certain cookies.

If you're running any version of windows the worse thing you have to worry about is adware and the occasional virus.

Trust me, windows is not easily "hacked."

I didn't bother reading all your posts but please believe me when I say your computer is safe.

If you are running linux/unis/bsd then please let me know and I will tell you how to make your box alittle bit safer.

Ask me any questions if you need more comfort.

The worst thing you have to worry about is an occasional virus? So.. cross-scripting vulnerabilities that steal credit card info and the like don't exist.. gotcha. Oh, and .swf vulnerabilities don't exist either.. mhmmm.

Windows can be hacked in under 60 seconds if it's unpatched with no form of firewall. Even faster if it's Windows 98 unpatched and they exploit UPnP. You cannot at all ascertain whether or not his computer is safe without him listing OS and kernel versions, along with all running software, and a snapshot of his registry.

Solo.. from what you're describing, either the XP firewall or something similiar is alerting you to kiddies who are scanning whole ISPs and hitting all sorts of ports that your computer shouldn't have open. My wall and audit logs are extensive. If you're on broadband you should expect to see this all the time and it shouldn't really be worried about if you have a good trustable wall.

As for Linux being any more safe... it goes back to patches. There's 15 0-day exploits confirmed today alone and plenty more on the way. I also assume that if he's running linux and checked the MAN pages that he'd have ipfw configured properly as a minimum.

Solo, if you have any computer security questions, feel free to shoot me a message and I'll be happy to answer them for you.

Rich
