I don't!!!. Where is the accountabilty for what they do? I understand homeland security and all that jazz but since 9/11 they haven't really done much about it??
I just plain do not believe in giving a government entity "absolute" power to do whatever they want. I see the Bush Adminstaration as pulling this off...you?

Sure do!!!! But they say we shouldn't know everything because of security reasons but I do not agree. Goverment has been doing that since time began so to speak... with everything...Imagine if we did know everything...scares me...Yes where is their accountability??
I believe in giving them all the power they need, the problem is the way I see other branches of govt working, lots of branches over spend and dont do a good job.
It's not that they have complete and absolute power. Lately it's more like they have decieved and manipulated things to get their agenda accomplished. Like going into Iraq for weapons of mass destruction. Then to find out the intelligence they used was faulty so instead of admitting to make a mistake the focus was shifted to Al-Qaeda and terrorist training camps in Iraq and having to take care of Saddam. Also the attacks on 9/11 led to many increases in security that do seem to take away our rights.
How can you not do a good job with a $400 Stanley hammer?
Habeus corpus died in 2006. That was all they needed to do to justify anything, because now they don't need any proof. If they want to say you're a terrorist, you're a terrorist. They don't even need any body anymore to convict you of a crime...
Oh No!!!.. This administration has taken it to a new level. I would rather have them more accountable then giving them frre reighn to do whatever they want without question. We are supposed to be living in a democracy you know...Have the right to be informed... you get me??
I"am saying top secret branches should be just that, I hope they work better than other branches, and not worried about grabbing the money. As far as them saying someone is a terrorist I think they do need proof, and as far as no body, new science and d.n.a is just as good. If they hit a terrorist in the head with the $400 hammer, its a good deal.
You know what.. If you ask me it looks like a long, well thought out, business move. Get the pawn in power,, be corruptive, hire cronies, enhance your friends and families business deals...hmmmm?
The "Representative" portion is based on the idea of representing constituents. When this relationship ends, there is no longer any representation. You can call it whatever you like, but semantics don't change facts.
Why do they keep getting elected? Because people are idiots...and the bureacracy is geared toward keeping them that way...
