this recipe was given to me by a co-worker, so I thought i would share it with all of you
Yilds: 18 brownies
Ingredients: 1 box reduced fat brownie Mix 10 oz frozen spinach 1 cup cooked carrots 3 eggs 1/4 cup canola oil
Directions: In food processor or blender, combine spincah (thawed) and carrots (cooked or canned) Process until smooth. In a large bowl combine brownie mix, pureed vegetables, eggs, and canola oil Pour brownie mix into baking pan and bake at 350 degrees F for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center is pulled out clean.(cooking times will vary based on brownie mix, altitude, and oven)
These brownies will provide nearly 2/3rds of your vitamin A needs for the day thanks to the spinach and carrots.
End of recipe lol........here's a couple side notes from me..........you can use egg substitute for even lower calories and extra virgin olive oil......both are better for your heart. *key note* if you are making these for children........don't let them see the ingredients and they will looooooooove them, these are really super moist brownies and they taste great!
it does in these........i didn't my boys would like the brownies because of the spinach and carrots, but if you make them without them seeing the ingredients.....it's all good!
A very important piece of information is left out. You might want to consider for future postings. The sugar, intake. How many sugar grams....this is for all the diabetic people on the sight......thanks
