I believe that families can spend more time playing boardgames, going bowling, skateing, or any number of things rather than being glued to the tv.

I think if late night comedians were truely worth their salt, then they should write their own material.

Finally, I forsee a long winter of stupid, stupider and really assinine reality shows.

well not all talk show hosts have scripts written by others
and they wouldnt be up there if they werent being paid for it

like alot of sports guys...and actors-etc...

besides what will happen is the bars will be fuller
because one nefit of tv for some people
is the illusion of socializing-and bars provide this as well...

But I wholeheartedly support the writers! The big-wig executives, complained when people were downlosding movies and other programs from the internet, They wanted their fair share. So poor people couldn't get free movies on line(legally). Now the writers are telling the big shots, if you get your fair share, we want our fair share of your fair share. I am sharing this fare to be fair to the share-holders and other's who will fare well in this dispute about fairness.doh

Not all of it, though some of the really good writers aren't on strike, because their best shows just get axed, like Aaron Sorkin and Joss Whedon.

And I agree with the other assessment, another surge in crap reality TV. There's a phenomenon that won't fricking die, even though it was born diseased.
