Mine seems a very fickle event in comparison with certain others, but it is fresh in my memory adn am still angry mainly with myself. I would go back a couple of weeks when I invited someone I met on this site to stay with me. He sounded so genuine and nice.He promised me alot of things and gave me hope for the future, you know the usual stuff. A week after returning to Britain he phones to say he has met someone else. So I would really like to turn back the clock to the time I started corresponding with him. It's nothing in comparison with other stories but I'm sore!!

Didn't realise you had met someone from here. Too bad that it proved to be a waste of time blues
Distance can be a problem no matter what anyone says. It is extremely difficult to maintain a long distance relationship. The internet is also very hit and miss as a way of meeting people. Before this technological form of contact we all used to meet our partners in the time honoured fashion of catching someone's eye across a crowded room or striking up a conversation with somebody that appealed to you.

Now of course, you can talk to someone for months on end and still not know quite what you are dealing with until you meet that person face to face. They could be....not as attractive as first assumed, or they may have a dysfunctional family, or be in a whole load of debt, or they have completely lied about themselves in every way possible.

Bet its happened to a few people here. sigh

Here's hoping that sooner or later everyone finds the happiness they are searching for.

Psst Lilyy. Now....about my Rolls Royce and my Villa in Florida.. Lol

Hey...chin up...and remember we are all dead proud of our servicemen trying to keep the peace out there.
Love will find it's way to you my friend and i'm sure you will find a few admirers from this site.
Good luck and may god be with you during your time in Iraq.
