actually there is lpg which is gas and from what i can make out it's pretty cheap but i dunno anyone who drives a car which uses it. might consider buying one in the NEAR future though. the rate things are going it'd soon pay for itself.

My brother has been a courier in town here for the last 27 yrs and has had both of his work vehicles converted to LPG from day 1. The current truck he uses has 450K on it and runs like a swiss sewing machine.
The thing with LPG is that it leaves no carbon deposits on the engine internals. The oil is clean, and looks new when changed...it has lost some of its ability to protect though and should still be changed.
LPG exists as a gas at room temperature and does not contain nearly as much carbon as liquid petrols do. In the combustion process, the carbon deposits are what eventually lead to fouling and failure of engine components.
It is not necessarily cheaper to run your vehicle daily, but it will last you much longer than a petrol vehicle.

When we are talking about "How much do we pay for a gas"
Do we consider the fact that we are talking two different measuring systems here
European Litres and American Gallons
1 US gallon = 3.7854118 litres (almost 4 LITRES)
which means ... our Price in Nova Scotia ....$1.12 per LITRE!!! for unleaded gas
How it sounds?
