people only write such things so they can sit back and watch the fireworks. i tend to ignore these threads and treat them with the contempt they deserve.

I have only been on this sight two months but this is one of the first types of threads that was circulating then. I think as long as you have the egotistical, the bored, the opinionated, and the overly sensitive it will continue. You can only be responsible for your own words and actions. The key is to own that responsibility.

SOMETIMES WHAT CHANGES ON A SITE IS OUR OWN PERSPECTIVE

when we first arrive we are so distracted or hopefully happy
enjoying ourselves-its a honeymoon period
later things are more realistic
yesterday it was suggested by the mods to not lament like this.
id think the best way 'repair' what one might see as in need of repair would be to respect the mods wishes-in forums
and if that wee done, generally, things may shift...
positive peer pressure ya know?
then privately lament in email w/ those who might share your 'grief'
the thing is-thinking CS is some kind of utopia,
any different than any other 'real' or 'cyber' social gathering
is a recipe for disappointment...

cuz the people cant get too close in here...
interesting tho-since we can still be as sensitive-
which shows me i am me wherever i go
even if the climate seems to change...

I have to fight with myself too....I get so angry and hurt here.
I was brought up following the rules.
And when folks broke the rules, lots of times they would get away with it. And they seemed to having much more fun than me.
And that still bugs me
I want to have faith that forum members are real..that they are who they say they are.
And I don't want to judge, or criticize anyone on here.
I'm determined to have fun, have faith and treat everyone like I would want to be treated.
And I want to laugh too

at that moment-not me-at all
tho they will try vigorously to convince us both otherwise
we'd always rather look outward for reasons of our discontent
than inwards-
and if i worried about people thinking i was depressed or a jerk
or "single" because im defective in some way-
which people seem to toss around in efforts to hurt people --often
(thats my fave insult actually-always good for a laff)
then i would really bea mess-
i cant allow someone else's opinion of me-
especially that of a stranger
to dictate my self worth, or value
living like that has caused me too much misery
and i trudged a long way to learn that they are wrong most of the time
and to not pay any attention to them
those that have a finger pointed at me

Great thread. Maybe taking a break from here for a few days will help.
There are some people who just want to instigate. They don't care about other people's feelings and somehow enjoy being jerks. All I can say to that is, it really must suck for them to get out of bed everyday!
But the majority of people here are like you Stew....good decent people who have some fun and want to meet someone special. All of your posts are fun, upbeat and considerate. Keep the faith....

What has happened here at C.S. anymore, every thread you see...fighting, instigating, trolls, threads that everyone knows will start a fight(politics, religion)
What happened to everyone getting along, and taking advice in and letting it soak in, and not getting defensive.
I get defensive too, and im probably guilty of these things too, but i do rem a time when we all got along and all laughed like there was no tomorrow.
Trolls, i wish they wouldn't be here, because you know what, you really wonder if your talking to the real deal anymore or if your talking to...those we don't mention...lol...
You know, everyday there are the same threads popping up, and im guilty of not creating anything new, but im not very creative....
You know, this is a place to find love, but how can we if we all don't know how to love...
JUST MY OPINION, is something now im prone to write, but i never use to write it....
Maybe things are a lot better now, but let's not give into TROLLS, or anyone like that...(yes i know i am guilty, we all have seen my temper and my horrible words)
