I paint boats and plants usually and very rarely a portrait with watercolour but I never get the quality of light I strive for...never thought of illustrating my poems. If I ever publish perhaps. I have certainly produced quite a few since I joined CS!

Garden is slowly fading away becoming more graphical. Creating more air chanels for Wind to play in between brances, trunks and twigs. I love it.
You need to publish ... your poems give a certain mood. It would be swell to have a small, medalion size watercolors for each or at least every second one.

Thanks Jackson. There were some words running around my head while I was driving earlier and I am hoping they tiptoe back because I had to brake suddenly for a sheep crossing the road and I lost them.

The ocean was just breathing deeply when I passed it about forty minutes ago. Swells are just about 1.5 meters so not too bad. The air has that electric feeling of a storm about to happen, rain waiting to fall. Makes it steamy.

rain scent flirts along the edges
of the wind that tosses leaves
like noisy unbound hair;
night simmers with the promise
of a storm to rock us all
from sleep to wakefulness,
calypso beat of raindrops
on the hissing heat of tile,
holding all the remnants
of the day deep in its stony heart
so warm to unshod feet.
Stars flash their shine
against the sodden mass
of clouds all pumped
with their opinion
ready to spout forth
the rain that earth
will welcome home
and hold until
the sun sucks it away
to dry the ground
and damp the sky
and make a drapery
of misty mackeral cloud
to bind about the moon.
