I've been to many concerts. I'm a country fan from the 70's and my favorite concerts were Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson and especially Kristofferson where I was lucky enough to be in the front row 5 times.
Really good memory of one time when Kris came off the stage in the middle of a song and shook my hand. It was special to me.

A private by invite only concert with BB King.............great music and a great guy.
Now that would be special......if he had Kris as a guest.
Have seen JC, the Man in Black,....great show,....say BB,...but was way up in some nosebleed seats,....
April 6, 1974,....skipped a week of Grade 12 to go with my best friend, his older cousin and his girlfriend, and my friends' sister (who I REALLY liked at the time), to jump in a 67 T-Bird convertible and head down to the Ontario Motor Speedway in California for California Jam. Rare Earth, Earth Wind and Fire, The Eagles, Seals and Croft, Black Oak Arkansas, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, and Emerson Lake and Palmer,...ain't never gonna forget it,.....sigh,....to be young again,......
Seeing Neil Young play on Younge street was pretty cool too!
And to TNM - hell, if I could score all those tickets, I'D BE MY BEST FREIND!!

It was indeed amazing,....not quite Woodstock according to my friends cousin (who made that one too,...lucky stiff!) but still, it was the best I'd been too then and now!. And both Keith and Greg did solo sets! Lots of arguments about who was best (but ELP STOLE the show!),....and it sure didn't hurt matters that I was with a wonderful gal in amongst 200,000 plus people just REALLY enjoying themselves!! Hell, I even had a LOT of hair in those days!!
And I really hope that neither my mom (who I told I was going camping) nor my principal (who I had some explaining to do to for skipping school for a week,....hey,...wait a minute,....I've graduated and he's dead! And if you're reading this mom, just what in heck are you doing here????

I have a buddy who played drums for 35 years in different bands and made a pretty good living at it.
His favorite story was when he openned for Celine Dion at the Gatineau Hot Air Balloon festival. The sun was going down and there were 35,000 people and he was playing drums. His base player yelled at him to look up. There was a balloon about 30 feet above the stage, right over their heads. An awesome memory for him.

okay will admit it bit of a hick here...saw trooper this summer at spencerville fair...lead gave me a beer..yes i managed to get to front of stage...not that big a deal we are talking spencerville but i loved it...saw Loverboy in Aug...it was good..again small town fair...like those...

Know exactly what you mean,......the ex is "gatineau" ,...Lac Du Loup,....know all about Wakefield,...105,..took me 18 years to escape back into Canada!
But lord knows,....real easy country to fall in love with, and to fall in love,....and ya can find beer everywhere,......24/7,.......and then its back down into Hull, cuz Ottawa shut down hours ago,....

I got to know Wayne Rostad pretty well. I actually knew most of the country entertainers in the area. My favorite cool guy was Terry Carrisse. He died a couple of years ago but I have fond memories of the whole area. Quebec is the best part of Canada, and I'm being serious here. Their polititions suck though.

About 25 years ago, a friend of mine took me and the lady I was with at the time to see Juthro Tull in concert in Calgary, it was incredable, and thought nothing could have been better, but I was proven wrong, because just recently, Juthro Tull was at the River Rock Casino, and I went to it, it was better than the first concert of his I attended, Ian Anderson only gets better with time

We are both fortunate in the fact that we have that massive floodplain in Manitoba to protect us from that part of world,.....at least for now,...
Nearly two decades,......ya know,.....some day we must meet to discuss 'escape" from the "country "where we're probably gonnna know some of the same people,....lol
