*The reason for Christmas - no one could say.*
*The children were told by their schools not to sing,*
*About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things.*
*It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say*



*"December 25th is just a "Holiday ".*

As Targets were hanging their trees upside down*
*At Lowe's the word Christmas - was no where to be found.*
*At K-Mart and Staples and Penny's and Sears*
*You won't hear the word Christmas; it won't touch your ears.*

Are words that were used to intimidate me.*
*Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen*
*On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton!*

*At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter*
*To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter.*
* And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith*
* Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace*

*The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded*
*The reason for the season, stopped before it started.*
*So as you celebrate "Winter Break" under your "Dream Tree"*
*Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me.*
*Choose your words carefully, choose what you say*

They announced on the news here last night that the mall Santas are not allowed to say Ho Ho Ho they have to say Ha Ha Ha...claims it is degrading to women...

I say if Santa says Ho HO Ho and it hurts your feelings....maybe you need to change your life

Great!! You're thinking like me...I just heard that on the news this past week that Santa saying "Ho, Ho, Ho" needed to be replaced....

What's up with this? I mean unless you're a Whoe, Whoe, Whoe, you won't be offended

I mean what else in our lives is going to have to change to always be politically correct??

I feel like Tim McGraw's song says, it would be great to live back in the times when a coke was a coke, and being down with something meant you had the flu

Why does it seem that some people want to take the purest things and make them dirty

Okay, stepping down off my soapbox


PS..I am old enough to remember when coke was really just a coke..and danged proud of it too

And "Merry Christmas too"....not Happy Holidays or any of that other bull

What a sad truthful commentary of the American system.

One of the reason this country was founded was freedom of religion...now it has gone the way of cigarette smoking, only allowed to be enjoyed and shared within your own home.

Whats the freedom to be taken away or "restricted" for the "benefit/"freedom" of the many will be???

Whats the NEXT freedom to be taken away or "restricted" for the "benefit/"freedom" of the many will be???
