This year is my 6 month old daughters very first Christmas. I know she's celebrating the day before Christmas with her fathers family...which is fine, because they have money and are graciously spending it on her...and I know that I'm teaching her the true meaning of Christmas by having her watch me give away the presents I give *it is indeed more blessed to give than recieve* but does anyone have any other ideas on how to spend a baby's first Christmas, anything anyone did out there for thier children to make their first Christmas extra special? Ideas are much welcomed!hug help

Make a photo journal just for your child with captions. She can cherish it for the rest of her life!!

Make a copy for yourself....

I'm with the ones who suggested taking photos and videos..

Things such as this are priceless, worth more to her in the long run than expensive presents.

Also they are nice for you to look back on as she grows older.

Expensive presents usually only last so long whereas memories and photos can last a lifetime wine

its like the birthday
the first one is for you
the rest are for them

congrats on your bundle of joy

mine is 14 but just yesterday she was wearing a red sleeper
and a bib that said 'babys first christmas'

she was in the phase of discovering her tongue-she was 6 months old.
in the pics of everyone with her they are all
showing each other their tongues

she shows her friends and tells them why her tongue is out
shes so knowledgeable now
laugh

it goes by too quicksigh

a tradition we started when our kids were young (and I was still married to the wicked witch) was to read the Christmas story from the Bible before opening any gifts...so the kids realize what it is ALL about, and are not just fixated on the presents.

Buy one of those "Baby's First Christmas" Ornaments with the year on it. I still have the one my mother bought me for my first Christmas. It gets an extra special spot on my tree; top front, right below the star.
