I love Christmas, the lights, the colors, getting to share time and love with people I enjoy. Having an excuse to show people I appreciate them, even if I can't afford an expensive present. I like when people give me a little something that shows they put some thought into it, not just a bunch of money. We've got a bunch of little kids in my extended family now, and it's so much fun seeing them run and play and getting all excited about tearing into boxes. And the food, OMG, I'm glad it only comes once a year or I'd weigh 300 lbs!

Sorry, well no I'm not, I'm a proud Yuleophile! I'm just sorry everyone can't enjoy it like I do.

I'm fighting it, but not really knowing here makes everything tougher. Family is spread out and won't be able to get together this year, so yes the blues have been knocking at my door. I'm glad I joined here, I am feeling like I'm not so alone.sigh

I love the holidays myself, the Christmas shopping, the parties, friends & family together, decorations, yadda yadda yadda...

It's just those times when I'm home alone, and my mind starts wandering around, and I'm like sigh

I do get the blues this time of year. It's geographical as well as personal. I try hard to focus on the good things, and the fact that I have much to be grateful for.

It’s a tough time of the year for many of us. I just have to keep a strong grip on things and keep in mind that this too shall pass.

I recommend a healthy dose of "A Christmas Story"! Nothing like watching Ralphie bumble his way to getting his Red Ryder bb gun to put laughter into your holiday spirit!laugh peace

Stay grounded friend. It has its good points and being alone is not different on any particular day no matter what they say. Enjoy what you can enjoy and pass the other times as best you can. wave
