I love Christmas, the lights, the colors, getting to share time and love with people I enjoy. Having an excuse to show people I appreciate them, even if I can't afford an expensive present. I like when people give me a little something that shows they put some thought into it, not just a bunch of money. We've got a bunch of little kids in my extended family now, and it's so much fun seeing them run and play and getting all excited about tearing into boxes. And the food, OMG, I'm glad it only comes once a year or I'd weigh 300 lbs!
Sorry, well no I'm not, I'm a proud Yuleophile! I'm just sorry everyone can't enjoy it like I do.

I'm fighting it, but not really knowing here makes everything tougher. Family is spread out and won't be able to get together this year, so yes the blues have been knocking at my door. I'm glad I joined here, I am feeling like I'm not so alone.
I have a friend that would be perfect for you I think! She is still being shy and doesn't know if she should come on our site but she is straight forward like me and loves the holidays and she is a great person if you want to know more you can mail me.
i know i am only bcuz i've lost my job & no cash for gifts, most will be getting homeade gifts from me. i like to crochet & work with beads. (maybe i'll try my hand at baking....never was much of a cook tho) i always feel so bad when people give me presents & i don't have anything to give them.
I do get the blues this time of year. It's geographical as well as personal. I try hard to focus on the good things, and the fact that I have much to be grateful for.
I'm in the same boat...I just got layed off temporarily Friday after only finding out on Thursday...I'm suppose to go back but when who knows and it's just a rotten time of year not to have a pay check....I'm just trying to make the best of it...Luckily I have a good part of my Christmas shopping done...BUT god knows about getting the rest of it done!!!!!!!!!
I recommend a healthy dose of "A Christmas Story"! Nothing like watching Ralphie bumble his way to getting his Red Ryder bb gun to put laughter into your holiday spirit!
Stay grounded friend. It has its good points and being alone is not different on any particular day no matter what they say. Enjoy what you can enjoy and pass the other times as best you can.
