Your insurance rates are skyrocketing, driving up the wages making it impossible to compete against the rest of the world. As a result you loose your job. But what the heck sue some one and get whelthy anyway. Or at least the laywer will.

Not all Americams are "Sue Crazy" joovisst. I find it very irritating to be lumped into one mass as we usually are. I can't stand attorneys anyway so I know I am not that way. I think 98 percent of attorneys are nothing but crooks and should go to jail themselves...lol

There has to be more of a definition of what the laws are. People get offended to various degreess and what one might see as totally offensive the other might not. I'd hate to think I couldn't voice my opinions without fear of a higher authority coming down on me. If you give the government that much control than we might as well have a dictatorship.

Most laws are responses to "consumer" complaints. Parents want protection for their children from internet predators. E-commerce wants protection from hackers and spammers. What about a negative blog that can destroy a person's business (when they did nothing wrong)?
Have you ever looked at all the disclaimers (and rules) on this site? Obviously there is a lot of concern over people suing!
Now as for tourism, I was just downtown Washington DC with thousands of people looking at our monuments and cherry blossoms -- no one was stuck in a van or dragged off anywhere. Now if I suddenly disappear from this site, you'll know I was wrong to post this (and I think the rules of this site prohibit me from writing to you from prison). lol
