Good guy or bad guy Which is better? ( Archived) (11)

I was wondering what ya'll thought on this question, Is it better to be with a man that you dont love but he loves you and treats you right, or a man that you are totally in love with but doesn't treat you right. Should you be with the one that loves you and wants to have a family with you and would do anything for you even though you know that you don't love him anymore than a friend. or should u be with the man that you love even though he doesn't treat you with respect but he at least seems to want you???????

You're not really asking about good guys or bad guys.

All you're really asking is whether you should base your involvement in a relationship on pure lust or pure love.

Illuminate suggested to do shoot for finding both in the same partner.

I'll give you my answers as honestly as I can,….

I've never tried basing a relationship on pure lust. So I can't speak to that, other than to say that I have avoided that situation on purpose.

I have tried to build relationships on pure love. That didn't work. I've discovered that without lust it just isn't going anyways. It just ain't gonna happen. It's really not a choice as far as I can see.

Actually, I personally believe that I could deal with a relationship that is based purely on love, but I have yet to find a women who was willing to do that with me. So I really can't make that choice on my own. It takes TWO people to choose to be in a relationship.

So now I'm back to looking at what Illuminate has suggested. Trying to find both in the same partner. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find a partner that I can both love and lust for who simultaneously feels the same way about me.

Damn. If I could I'd be screaming Eureka all over the forums!!!

Neither. When I am with a man I expect it to come both ways. I love him, he loves me. We treat eachother with the same respect and we are together because we both want to be. Relationships are not one sided. It takes two to tango baby!

I agree with Katine.

I've tried the bad guys. You meet fall in lust and find out you have nothing in common. I vote for the good guy. Get to know him and make your own lust.
