¿Have you pondered if bringing a child into the world is something you really want to do considering all the crap that could befall them in their lives?
Yes there are many joys in life and being a parent can be one of them, but at times the pessimistic side of me begins to speak out and I start to doubt.

Same thought as had our great-great-grandparents and our geat-grandparents and our grandparents and now I am already a grandmother soooooooo already done the thinking ... And lived passed it ...
Same with education, I saw similar extract from education seminars or journals highlighting "the state of education" as far back a mid 1800 ...
We always think we're re-inventing the wheel and thought processes, but we're not ...
being a parent is a responsible profession requiring being concentrated in every moment.u have to consider with yr child desire, to listen to his problems and always to find something to help.by rearing carefully and with lots of love the child will be proud of his parents too.if u decide to be a parent u have to deny on the non-stop care and take a big risk.so being a parent is one hard work and its not possible for anyone i guess...
Hi All,,, Im bringing a baby into the world and at times i know i have my doubts but i do know, that through me in teaching her values and morals that is how we can eventually change the world is through our children and what we teach them

Yes, I sure have. I'm a huge ponderer...
Though not to say I have ruled out adoption/foster care, etc., considering the many unfortunate children who have already been brought into this world......

Between me and Nuala WE have 12, and everyone of them is worth every sort of so called pain etc, that is far outweighed by the pleasure you have with your kids, just a smile or a stupid action.
Kids are kids they are what they are DEPENDING on how they are raised, Good Parent/s = good kids
Here's my thing... it's not that I don't want to be a mother, but I do tend to think along the lines of the OP every now and then. Can't help it...
I have always been heart broken by the thought of so many children, who don't have a home, a mom, a dad, etc. Most (not all) people can have a kid, sure - but that doesn't automatically make you a parent. I'm sure you catch my drift...

I've often thought about this and regularly swing between two minds. On the one hand I can't but help thinking about all the terrible things that can happen - climate change, disease, war, famine and all that endless list. And I think what right have I to bring a child into such a world ?
But then I think that this is unfair. Maybe these can be dealt with, or they may never even apply to my child. Every generation has it's own trials and travails so who am I to deny another their chance to live and love ? There is always hope and if there wasn't we probably would not be here right now as our ancestors would have given up and rolled over long ago, not tonight honey.

I agree and looking at the past handful years development, I wouldnt wanna be born into a world where everything is monitored, and soon you run around with an implanted chip, your DNS is checked out for diseases you wouldnt want to know about (possibly even by your future employer) and the only place where you can live freedome will (for a while) be a third world country.
DANSK: Hi! And Congratulations to YOU! It may be hard to raise kids nowadays, but I can promise you it is WELL worth it. I find it very sad iif Couples don´t have children, I love it, when they Adopt too! Do your best dear, God will do the rest....
Thank you DAnsk, in his hands i will trust.... but i gotta do some of the work hehe
