Just look at what condition we are in now after almost * yrs of republican majority.. we are in such bad financial condition.
At least the Republicans had the budget balanced.

Democrats are extremely dogmatic about the underclass and disenfranchised.

We just have to choose which dogmatic philosophy we better identify with.

I think it's more about how you view life in general.
If you have a high regard for people and the ability of people to resolve their own problems and what an individual can achieve, you'll vote one way.
If you think most people are helpless and stupid, need to be cared for and only government (employees) can fix your life, you'll vote another way.
If you believe that freedom is of the utmost importance.....you'll probably be a Libertarian.
Then you get into the multitude of sub-issues~

Actually though Robert, I do believe in the "little" people......and their ability to succeed.
{Certainly I wasn't born w/a silver spoon, nor do I own one now, and probably won't own a silver spoon, but I do have an appreciation for what I've earned...not what was provided to me by someone else.} Trivial I suppose...but that's where my value system is derived.}
It's all in how one desires to get from point A to point B. I suppose~
