you know actually I had pretty much forgotten today was Valentine's day.......until last night............ Valentine's day doesn't usually register with me at all......I don't mind the being alone on just another day........ today though was AWESOME!!!
I'm one of those people who the little things matter most............and my son was great.........i got home from work(late of course ) and he met me halfway to my car and gave me a huuuuuuuuge hug and a kiss on the cheek( in public and plain sight of anyone and everyone no less) then when i came in he said go look on your desk.........................so i did expecting a note or something from the school.................well instead my son had written me a simple note........"Happy Valentine's Day Mom! Love you!" and left me some change(there's a story behind the change thing but i won't get into it).......it was the sweetest thing and made me tear up

Our children are so special that I sometimes look at them and I wonder how much I really deserve to have such wonderful kids.
StarliteFantazy: kids.........aren't they the greatest???
Them, and dogs! (at least for me, since they're my "kids")
Your son sounds like a great person, how cool....
I also had a great day, despite it being a little sad at times; I smiled and laughed at myself nevertheless, and at lunch time took the pups outside as usual and just had lots of fun with them.... When asked to give me kisses, they (as always) gave more than I bargained for, and I told them (as always) that I love them very very much. I will post some pics later, as one of them chewed on my camera cable and I need to get a new one now. Grrrr..... (ok it's not SO funny but there's certainly no point in growling now)
Also in the afternoon we suddenly had some hail and snow here, and the streets turned into a nightmare instantly... Accidents everywhere, and I myself had a VERY narrow escape TWICE in less than 3 minutes, so I am thankful to God that I am still alive and well on this Valentine's day, even though alone except for my puppies.
