What is your favourite recipe? I need to cook something for someone soon and it needs to be simple yet nice. I hate cooking and only cook because I have to lol.

SO, if you would be so kind and share with me your tried and tested and satisfied recipe, I would be forever greatful.

the easiest thing in the world to cook : Fried rice, feeds a lot of people and its freezable

Requirements, Rice, Mince Meat, any other kind of meat u have on hand, sausages salami chicken anything really works, those bags of frozen vegatables, 5 eggs. oil.

while the rice is cooking, whip the eggs together with some milk, and just make some scramble eggs, always make sure theres enough oil in the pan of course. make sure the eggs split apart a lot, put them aside in a bowl, start cooking the meat, chop it up pretty fine if its something like sausages or salami, once there cooked remove to a bowl, start frying up the veggies, the rice should be cooked by now, dump them in the wok with everything else, sprinkle oyster and soy sauce along with some oil over the top, pack it down with the egg scooper thingie (never can remember that utensils name) for two minutes stir it every 2 minutes for about 15 minutes and viola ! your done.

Easy.

ok lou, how about potato bake???

mine is really simple and easy all you gotta do is allow for the time,

slice your potatoes i usually use about 8-10 good size ones.
just thrown into baking dish after you slice them.
in a seperate bowl mix 1-2teaspoons of crushed garlic (depending how strong you want it), salt, pepper, dried parsley, small thing of vege stock, 750ml bottle cream, and any other seasoning your heart desires.

bake in oven about 180 - 200degrees until potatos are soft, then sprinkle cheese over top and also some more dried parsley for colour. Then bake that in oven until golden and your done.

mmmm yummy.

Not sure what to have with it, although it is really nice with chicken kiev's or crumbed chicken.

And the day after if you have any left it's really yummy on toast for lunch :)

Hey Lou,

I have a wicked Potato bake recipe...

You can either dice your potatos or slice them thinley,(you dont have to peel them if you dont want to but you can also peel them if you dont like the skin) par cook them (i usually just steam them for 5 mins or so in the microwave) then get a casserole dish and put the potatos in, sprinkle with shredded cheese, light cream, cream of chicken soup mix in a packet (just enough to add the flavour), diced bacon and sliced onion. Mix it all thru so all ingredients are combined. Make sure you put enough cream in so that theres about an inch or so in the bottom of the dish once it settles and also sprinkle with chicken salt. You can layer with another lot of shredded cheese once it has all been mixed thru so the top becomes golden once cooked. You can add a clove of garlic too if ya like it...

Then bake at 180 degrees til potato is cooked and its nice and golden on top. You can cover in foil for the last part of the cooking.

Its really tasty and very easy to make.

Goodluck and enjoy ;-)

cheers
