The formula for a true friendship is simple – the support you receive should be equal to the support you give.We all want to have somebody to share with – our happiness or our sorrow, our success or our failure. I've had one friend...great bloke too. He overcame many personal problems and issues to become a well ballanced and well respected figure. He was always there for me and I for him.
I loved him very much and respected him immensely. Even though we've lost touch due to him getting wed and leaving the country, we'd still be just the same I'm sure.

Yes the key to all relationships is trust and give and take...if it doesn't equal out and balance then it's hardly mutual!!!!!!!

yes, i got rid of her in a wonderful way...i made her mad so she could say everything...i only got that 7 years later! She is so very close, reserved, i had to make her mad...then she sent me a long email, perfect
...then she appologysed, but i was already madly disappointed

sometimes, it takes a lot to actually 'be' a good friend........ where do we draw the line in supporting a friend when we disagree with some of the things they are doing?.........

I think a good friend in that case would say they disagree and why and yet let the friend make their own decisions...BUT still be there to support them when they need it...support doesn't have to mean agreement between friends!!!!!!!!
