Socks mostly just keep our feet clean, dry, or warm. Socks are not divine in and of themselves; especially the ones that get lost in the dryer.

It is true that there are those who will attest that the disappearing act of these socks, is evidence of their divine nature. However, this is not necessarily the case. Most likely the sock, got lost somewhere in route to the dryer. If this is indeed the case, then few would be impressed with the divine nature of such a sock.

I am convinced of, if not a divine nature, then a higher intelligence of my socks compared to others that I've washed. Since my socks no longer have contact with lower forms of socks, like my ex's, they are no longer lost on the way to the washer.

N/K, since I've been living alone, I have not lost one single sock. Why do you think that happens? confused dunno

Some would say that it is because your ex is more spiritual than you. I tend to disagree. Assuming that "divine socks" have our best interest at heart, it would seem logical that they would remain as near our feet as possible.

I am a man with a full drawer of well fitting happy smiley-faced socks!!!! Never do I have to pen my initials inside the toe to identify them as my own!!!!As long as I can walk the socks that bear my weight call out to me....if I weren't to answer, surely they would cry out again........bowing guitar

Yes Diogenes, I agree

It is not fair on those in other time zones who would have had some local wisdom to impart on the subject of socks. Now we have to invent new riffs on the subject of socks! scold

One night I was out, and this girl was trying to bust my balls. So she says to me all snotty like, "Did you know your socks don't match?"

So I say, "Well, they're the same to me because I go by thickness."
