This one is LIVING ONLY, NOT some dead person like Jesus.
Mine is Julia, our former housekeeper, my "second mom" since I was less than 18 months old. She is now 81 and has been the one source of unconditional love my entire life. When I was growing up my mother always worked "outside the home", so when I was home sick from school, Julia was the one who was there to take care of me. When I walked home for lunch from elementary school every day, she was the one who made it for me. When I've been in a crisis or a tough period in my life, she has never tried to fix, advise, or judge, she just loves me and encourages me.
Sorry if you were offended by the wording of that, I was just trying to clarify the direction of my question with the most obvious not-currently-living-among-us-in-actual-flesh example that someone might have otherwise chosen. I respectfully bow out of any religious debate. :-)
Oh yeah, if you're going to count people you only know via computer posts and emails I agree. There are a lot of genuninly loving people on here to be sure!
He led by example. He was always fair and never bitter or mean. He never criticized, but gently guided me when I faltered. He patiently listened to me and respected my opinion, even when it was different than his own. He was never jealous of me or my accomplishments, and was always my cheerleader for reaching higher. When I was sick, he took care of me. I could rely on him to do what he said he would. He did "little" romantic things EVERY DAY for the few years we were together. That was a long time ago, but I won't forget someone as wonderful as that!
I think my dad, who despite his age, the generation gap, and the distance, is trying to understand me; my mum who I know loves me dearly despite there being so many of us; My eldest sister I got to really know when I was in my late teens and feels like she's my second mother and last but no way least my children. We say "I love you to each other at least 10 times a day!
