I've never tried it but I would love to. It seems like fun even if you don't get picked.
I do a spoof speed dating class with my English students sometimes. It's good for practicing introductions and talking about yourself in a short space of time. They love it and it's hilarious for me to watch!

I hate first dates, and interviews, so it sounds like the worst form of torture to me.
