Was walking through the woods with a mate when I was younger when he stopped to have a pi55 in a bunch of stinging nettles... I couldn't resist so pushed him in... He got stung on his peep..

I have seen some pretty cruel things, I had the 'fortune?' over many years to travel the world to some of the worst communities on earth. Death and destruction feature highly on the list for sure, but the cruelest things are greed, ignorance, and religion.
Out of those three things come cruelty, however subtle or graphic.

now i actually agree you wholly yorkshire man. (soz if i offend anyone it is completely unintentional however these are my views)
greed one of the greatest deadly sins we live in a society where some have so much yet some have so few it simply isn't fair
ignorance some people are so insanely ignorant it drives me insane!
and religion now this is definately the most contraversal but i think it ties in alot with ignorance. i believe that religion is a cause for many wars many arguments many tragidies why do people believe in things that can cause so much pain to the world?? i think it is funny when people try and convert me to religion (seem to have monthly visits from jehovahs witnesses :S) and i have been to 2 church schools (because of the education) have researched and been taught many things about varying other world religions have had many friends of varying faiths.
and i ask them a question do they believe that god is omnipotent - all powerful omniscent - all knowing and benevolent - all kind most reply yes
then i ask why do you believe in a terrorist then? most say they don't
well i say the tsunami of boxing day 2006 killed more people than saddam hussein did in his life time if god was all knowing then he would of known it was going to happen if god was all kind he would want to stop it if god was all powerful he could stop it therefore he cannot be all three
if they say that is impossible then therefore there must be no god
ahh the arguments i have with them i am a devout atheist and cannot understand why people waste their life on something so stupid which origin is a book and many chinese whispers which has been manipulated by the church for their own purpose
