Maybe.
I think part of maturing is becoming happy with oneself; not 'needing' to have somebody to make you 'feel good'.
However, it's nice to enjoy the company of somebody 'special' - right?
What I'm saying is that if you feel 99% 'complete' as an individual maybe it's a bit of a risk losing one's own identity in a relationship - but 100% happy is better than 99.9999% happy and 'No man is an island, but a woman is way more than an island so maybe she can live happier on her own?'

Yeah Marivanna, I've noticed this happening more now too (I'm around your age also), and I agree that it probably has a lot to do with maturing and being happier with oneself.
I also think that by now we've learned more or less what kind of people we usually get along with, and what kind of person we can envisage as a partner - so we probably judge people a bit quicker than before.

Here I am not following. Should one seek company of as many as possible just to ensure there is someone to be with when old? Play red or black? In this case 50/50 does not work for me. I play Nos and sometimes with high stakes, allegorically.
