In his 1973 book The Colors of Love, John Lee compared styles of love to the color wheel. Just as there are three primary colors, Lee suggested that there are three primary styles of love. These three styles of love are: (1) Eros, (2) Ludos, and (3) Storge.
Continuing the color wheel analogy, Lee proposed that just as the primary colors can be combined to create complementary colors, these three primary styles of love could be combined to create nine different secondary love styles. For example, a combination of Eros and Ludos results in Mania, or obsessive love.
Lee’s 6 Styles of Loving
Three primary styles: 1. Eros – Loving an ideal person 2. Ludos – Love as a game 3. Storge – Love as friendship
Three secondary styles: 1. Mania (Eros + Ludos) – Obsessive love 2. Pragma (Ludos + Storge) – Realistic and practical love 3. Agape (Eros + Storge) – Selfless love

I hope to finally reach the agape....
Thats pretty interesting when you look at it. Out of primary styles id say im more then capable of 1.Eros and 3. Storge but id have a little dificulty in thinking it as a game.
When it comes to the secondary styles i know i have done 2. Pragma and 3. Agape as they are in related to unconditional love, accepting the person for who they are and loveing them as a whole, flaws and all and also doing things for them without asking one wit in return. But when i look at 1. Mania( obsessive love) seems to run in with infatuation which is a selfish love that the one in question only thinks of what this will do for me.

Zarah: No I would rather not invest energy into a lost course nowadays...not to say I don't like meeting interesting men...
speaking of interesting..just reading my ex's profile on RSVP dating site and laughing out loud at the crap he wrote....sheesh...there should be a site of shame available..dedicated to humiliation...
Have an awesome day Aries!
the thing is he probably believes his crap... the way we see them (arseholes that is) and the way they see themselves...two different things
I too had the opportunity to read my ex's profile on a dating site. I was shocked to read he lived alone, never mind the other stuff. And he wondered why I gave the ring back...
I don't believe in the self-less love, that's just asking for trouble.
