Loads, it makes me feel good, uses up spare time, helps people, it's fun, meet loads of new faces, helps me appresicte what I have got, gets rid of old junk, incorporates hobbies, millions of reasons...........

Went to Indonesia a few years back, loads of kids on the street and I helped everyone of them at least on that block, for the time I was there,
I was an orphan and on the street at 13 years old, it healed me to help them and lets just say once the word got out a foreigner was handing out loot everyday the crowd got bigger and them kids made my day and life....

I use to bring my dog to the hospital for patients who were terminal. Even the dog enjoyed it. Have been busy. I need to start again. thanks for the reminder. oh yeah, because i enjoy bringing a smile to anyone who needs it.

I do all sorts, from giving the homeless a bed for a while to fostering drug addicted and alcoholic teens to volunteering with limb amputees, setting up craft workshops when I was younger, to teaching art as a therapy, empowering people through various activities, working with the mental health association and such. Most places I have worked, I have also volunteered almost equal time. I have gained a lot from it.

Fav one was teaching art as a therapy for the mental health assoc. I put over 900 people through my course in the space of four and a half years, which kept more than half of the outof hospital. I'd volunteer about 20 hours a week. Made loads of friends. Never wanted to walk away. Fostering is ongoing.... New kids ever year or couple of years, sometimes for as long as 5 or 6 years. Most never went home. They are same as my own kids.

A very caring person indeed.....
I used to work in a hospital with the mentally handicapped and Autistic children........and also in 3 drug rehabilitation centers.....although this was paid work

yes...I run a music program in a nursing home. I do it because music calms the savage beast. Older people are often placed in homes and forgotten by their families. Music brings them inner peace

when people get old they are forgotton......how very sad.......a very nice and peaceful thing to to ship.....
