The Old Man Part One, Two, Three, And Four ( Archived) (20)

I wrote these a little while back.. I hope those taking the time to read them will enjoy the story.. let me know what you think..

I went for a walk
I was enjoying the summer breeze
smiling as I watched
the birds sing in the trees

Then in the corner of my eye
I saw an old man
he was just sitting there
with his head in both hands

Puzzeled by his demeanor
I approched and asked
are you ok sir
are you reflecting on your past

Slowly he looked up
he stared in my eyes
I was almost overwhelmed
it was like he was reading my mind

He opened his mouth
and he began to speak
I knew you would come
you are the one that I seek

He said
I am the last Knight
and with the edge of my sword
I have made wrongs right

As you walk your path
there will come a day
the voice of wisdom will speak
listen to her, she will help you find your way

Then he stood up
he looked so familiar
it was like seeing my reflection
when I look in a mirror

He told me things
that I would begin to see
but take heart and don't worry
because this is ment to be

Part one

The Old Man, Part two

I was awe struck by his story
and what he revealed to me
for this man seem to know
my entire history

He reached to his side
and unsheathed his sword
he said kneel down Daniel
for this is to be yours

The sword seemed to shimmer
it had a soft amber glow
I could sense that it's purity
was as white as snow

He turned the sword around
and placed it in my right hand
within an instant
in another place I did stand

As I held this sword
I felt the power it possessed
my heart began pounding
inside my chest

I looked around
for the old man that was there
but I couldn't find him
he wasn't anywhere

The air began to crackle
the sword seemed to come alive
my spirit began to float
up into the sky

I heard voices
mysteries were revealed
things I didn't know
were no longer concealed

In the next instant
I was back where I first stood
the old man had wrote his name
on a pieace of driftwood

He had traveled from the future
to me in the past
I finally understood
who he was a last

The Old Man, Part Three

As I stood there
after reading his name
I knew from this moment on
I would never be the same

With sword still in hand
it called out to me
it began to shine
ever so brightly

It told me it's name
in my mind so clear
all I need do is think it
and it will appear

Still trying to absorb
everything I was shown
I thought so intensely
as I walked my way home

When I got home
and opened the door
my strength had escaped me
I just fell on the floor

I had dreams and visions
of things yet to come
like the sound of music
when you beat on a drum

When I awoke
I called my swords name
from the mists of time
to my side it came

As I held my sword
it was now no mystery
it was my very life force
an extention of me

It said prepair yourself Daniel
for in the comming years
the things you will see
will make you shed many tears

But fear not Daniel
and keep your heart strong
for it's on this journey
that you do belong

The Old Man, Part Four

The very next day
all alone in my thoughts
all of this to take in
was a bit of a shock

Such a heavy responsibility
had been placed on me
waiting for me to be born
from the begining of eternity

I must dawn my armour
for the time is drawing near
to comfort the meek
and dry their tears

When you are weak
I will lift you up
I will show you the power
of Heaven above

With kind gentleness
I will caress your soul
because all of you are special
I want you to know

I am the last Knight
I was chosen before birth
I want everyone to know
you all have true worth

So when I see that you need
someone who cares
even when you don't want me
I will still be there

With love and kindness
and all sencerity
just so you will know
the Old Man was me...
